Happy Women's Day!!!

This blog is dedicated to all the women..I know...Cheers to all the women achievers and when I say women achievers, that essentially does not mean working women winning awards, accomplishing extraordinary things but also those homemakers, who put in their lives for their families.

I often ask this question to myself, if women are considered to be devis, then why is that the rate of domestic violence, rape, molestation, eve teasing is so high? Why women are still considered to be an inferior sex? Why does our male chauvinistic society still think that a woman has to work twice as hard as her male counterparts to prove as good as them? Why our Indian society still feels blessed when a baby boy is born and depressed when a girl child is born?

Well, honestly, these questions are beyond me and I do not have any answer but my heart bleeds when I hear about discrimination against women, when I hear that women are being attacked in a place like Bangalore just because they do not conform to dress code of some chauvinists.Which world are we living in?

Do we know the meaning of woman's day after all?If we cannot respect women whom we know, what does it mean to celebrate such a day, after all...

Its we, the women who have to stand against the prejudice..we have to ensure that our generations to come do not come face to face with such circumstances...we have to ensure that we, the women, will ensure that we do not form the part of the society, which is biased against women..And hope to celebrate women's day someday in a world, which truly respects women and recognizes their contribution...
